Filmmakers Forum & Screenings:
Professionals from a variety of disciplines in the film industry come together to discuss their work, show some examples of and talk about what they do, how they got started, what inspires them and more. A compelling program for students, those who aspire to work in film or television, movie buffs, film lovers and just about everyone else (Refreshments WILL be served).
Directly following the Filmmakers Forum will be almost 3 hours of SCREENINGS showing 18 different films ranging from 2 minutes to 30 minutes long including works by Bill McMeekan, Wes Lorenzini, The Clark Family, Adam Chinoy, Sean Devaney, Rachel Gordon and more.

"Jumpin' Jive!: Music Shorts before the MTV-era"

Presented & Compiled by New York-based film archivist Russell Scholl.
Long before MTV was a gleam in Viacom's eye, jazz, blues, and pop artists were filming some of their favorite numbers. Featuring some of the finest moments of these early music shorts and compiled them. From 1920s hot jazz to 1940s honky-tonk and television-era gospel, these music films promise to turn even the most jaded audience members into giddy, gushing fools!

Directly following the Program (which runs approximately 90 minutes) will be close to 2 More hours of SCREENINGS. Friday's offerings include 9 more films from Fanwood's own George Weiss ("The Last Sound You May Ever Hear"), Aex Forstenhausler, Cameron Sizemore, a screening of John Fazio's wonderful documentary, "Two Lords and a Lady" and much much more!
